Mildura-Merbein is on its list. The Authority does not say where the salt lies in relation to any street, bore or house, and this page does not either.
The Commission's advice is that the way you can use bore water depends on its quality, which relates to the salt levels in the water, and that it is essential to test it. A property near Merbein is not necessarily over the scheme's groundwater, and one further away is not necessarily clear of it; only a test of the bore's own water says.
